She is still a great sleeper. She sleeps from 7:30 until 7:45-8:30. For a few days, she slept until 9:30 but I'm almost certain she was growing during those few days. Occasionally, she will fuss for a paci or want to snuggle with me in my bed. I normally don't like having babies in the bed with us, but sometimes it's the only thing that will settle her down. Once she's asleep, I sneak her back into her crib. It works... for now. She is still swaddled. Maybe one day she won't be... I mean she can't be swaddled while she sleeps her whole life, right?!?
She still loves to eat! She is now on stage 2 baby food and gobbles everything up. She loves everything... except bananas. She will spit those things out at you. I think her favorite food is either butternut squash or apples and pears. She was eating 20 ounces of formula a day, but yesterday she only wanted 3 bottles instead of the 4. Today, she is on the same schedule. I am now bumping up her formula to 6 ounces instead of 5 ounces. That way she is getting 18 ounces. She is also having 2 snacks. These are the arrowroot cookies and nilla wafers. She can also do baby yogurt now. I haven't tried it yet, but I will soon! She also has been introduced to a sippy cup with water in it. She actually does a great job with it. She's began to drink out of it already. The doctor said it's because she watches Connor drink out of his. It's amazing!
She is now rolling over... Hallelujah! I thought she would never roll. I tried and tried and tried to get her to roll. She would get about 75% around and then flap back on her back. It was so frustrating!! But, finally she decided that rolling was her thing. She has figured out that she can roll to get to the object she wants. Log rolls haven't happened as much as I would like for them to, but those will come. This girl only does things that she decides she wants to do. The future for us is going to be so much fun...
She also has begun to show interest in pulling up (*sigh*). She still is a little too short to pull up on a lot of objects, but when I gibe her my forearm, she pulls up. She can also pull up on Cameron when he is laying down. She will get there. She needs to crawl before she can really pull up. She is pushing up on her arms when she is on her belly. She's inching around like a little inchworm, and is also rocking back and forth on her hands. She needs to get on her knees a little more before she can crawl.
She is also working on her two bottom teeth. You can definitely see and feel them in her gums. I don't think they're going to come in very soon, but possibly a month or so. The doctor also agreed with me. Connor was 8 months old when he popped his first 2 teeth, so I think she might be on the same track.
She has also transitioned from the baby bathtub to the big bathtub. Such a relief because I can now bathe Connor and Maddie together. It cuts back on a lot of time at night. I do think eventually they will want that time to themself, but for now it's together :)
Here are some pictures of my little munchkin.
Such strong legs for such a little girl
"Mom! He's ruining my pretty picture!!"
Love her pretty blue eyes too :)
