He still sleeps from 8pm until 8:15am. When we are not sleeping at home, he wakes up much earlier due to excitement. He is now in a toddler bed since he crawled out of his crib. He absolutely loves his bed and constantly crawls in and out of it during the day and calls it "Nonnor's bed!" We were hoping to wait until he turned 2 because that's what the pediatrician recommended, but since it's dangerous for him to crawl out we went ahead and put him in one. He's done extremely well and doesn't get out during the night. If he stands up in his bed, we talk through the intercom on the monitor and say "lay down!" and he obeys. We are so lucky to have a little guy who listens so well. Fingers are crossed that Maddie will listen too.
He has all of his teeth except for his 2 year molars. When we had him rechecked this week, the pediatrician we saw said that he's still getting some teeth. I'm not sure if she meant his 2 year molars or what, but I can never tell since he won't let me look. We will find out for sure in March.
He still speaks so well. He says "no thank you" if he doesn't want something. He labels everything like "Mama's tea" and "Dada's phone." Sometimes if we ask him something that he's not sure about he responds with "I don't know." When he gets frustrated with doing something he says "stuck!" It's funny. He also asks for help by saying "help me, please!" He still calls himself as "Nonnor" and Maddie as "um-daddy" but he's doing well.
He has a few new favorites this month. He's become obsessed with Mickey Mouse. Thank goodness for DVR, I'm not sure how I would survive without it. We watch a lot of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse during the day because it keeps his attention. He also has come to love sweet tea. Ours is decaf at home, but when we are out eating, I'm sure it's not. He honestly hasn't been one to skip sleep due to sugar, and now caffeine. I still don't like giving it to him, but it's nice to know that it doesn't keep him awake. He's still as wild as ever, but that's just a toddler for you.
Here are some pictures I took yesterday.
I thought it would be neat to put his 10 month picture next to his 22 month picture. What a difference!
He is getting so big
