My Very First Blog Post

Well, I've been debating for a while now about starting a blog. So much has happened in the past year and a half that I can hardly catch my breath sometimes. I've decided that I'm going to start writing everything down (like I need anything else to keep up with) so friends and family can see what's going on in more detail than the pictures I post on Facebook and Instagram.

Let's see here... Cameron and I were married in June of 2012 and found out we were pregnant in July. After the shock wore off, we were extremely excited that God had chosen us to be parents shortly after uniting us as one. On March 7, 2013 at 8:35am, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy into the world. Connor Miles White had arrived, and we couldn't have been any more excited and nervous. Now, our "little" boy is 7 months old and has me chasing him every which way. It's very tiring, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Going through the calendar I have for Connor, here are the milestones he's achieved:

March 7: Born at 8:35am, 8lbs. 2oz., 21 inches long
March 9: Came home from the hospital

April 8: First smile
April 18: Finds his hands
April 29: Sleeps through the Night (10 full hours!)

May 9: Finds his toes
May 23: Grabs objects
May 28: Flipped over from belly to back

June 13: Rolled over from back to belly
June 18: Laughs out loud
June 24: Sits up in a "tri-pod"

July 9: First bite of cereal
July 23: Sits straight up and down
July 29: First bite of veggies

August 2: First bite of fruit
August 30: First word "ma-ma"

September 4: Pulls-up
September 11: Says "da-da"
September 19: Crawls
September 24: Feeds himself
September 29: Gives kisses

In 7 short months, my little squirt has grown to a whole 17.4 pounds and 27 3/4" long (these are my measurements). He sleeps 12-13 hours each night (occasionally it's 11 1/2) and only takes 2 short naps (usually 30 minutes) during the day. His 9 month clothes are a little big on him, but all of his fall clothes are that size so that's what I'm putting on him. He is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything!! He just recently started scaling things to get to where he wants. This makes me a little sad because I don't want him to grow up too fast, but I'm also very excited to see what the future holds.
