He still wears size 4 diapers and I don't see that changing any time soon. He's still able to wear his 9 month shorts but I've been putting some 18 months on him for the length. He truly needs a belt with these shorts, so I've been on the hunt for one. He can still wear some 12 month shirts, but he's mostly wearing 18 month shirts. He will be wearing 18 month pants this fall and probably early winter. They're pretty long on him and they gap a bit in the waist, but 12 month pants are too short. He still wears his size 5 shoes, and I'm sure they won't last much longer.
Nothing has changed in the sleeping and eating departments. Still sleeps well and eats pretty well. He still loves his fruit snacks. He loves to feed himself yogurt and applesauce. It gets pretty messy, but he enjoys it and it's something to do while we finish up eating. He loves his milk and water, but does not like juice of any kind. He had the stomach bug a few weeks ago so I bought some pedialite for him, and he did not like it at all. I've also tried apple juice and even watered down lemonade. So, we are sticking to milk and water, which is not a bad thing.
He has picked it up with talking. He will try to say anything you tell him... except his name! He will not try to say Connor at all. Why did I have to pick such a hard name?!? He has a new favorite word and it is football. It sounds a lot like "butt-baa" but he knows what it is and asks to watch it constantly. He is beginning to string words together. Some phrases he says are "more milk please," "down please," and "thank you." He now says "I love you!" It is the sweetest thing in the entire world. One day in the car, he said "Mama, I-wuh-you" and fell asleep. I'll admit I teared up a bit because it was the sweetest thing out of his mouth. He doesn't say it often, but he has told Cameron, Mimi, and Abbey that he loves them, and he says it at the most needing times. I could listen to it all day long. After his appointment today, I was told that his verbal skills are that of a 2 1/2 year old. He knows well more than 20 words and can string up to 4 words together.
He has now discovered how to swing a baseball bat (that's another thing he says "bay-ba baa"). A baseball bat can be all sorts of things: dog toys, drinking straws, kitchen tongs, hangers, etc. He is his daddy's boy. He loves to throw balls, catch balls, and now hit balls. I also swear he hiked a ball like a football and ran with it into the other room, so maybe he's picking up on some football too. Connor also likes to wrestle with his dada. He cracks up when Cameron lies down on the floor so he can "get him." He's full of personality and we love him more and more each day.
Here are some pictures I've taken with my phone. They aren't the best quality but he isn't as cooperative these days with taking pictures.
He loves to play "hide and seek"
Loving his baby sister
Meal time is so much fun with this guy
