He is still an awesome sleeper. He wakes up around 10 each morning and goes to bed around 10:30. He still takes 2 naps during the day. The first can be anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. His second nap is anywhere between 3 and 3 and a half hours. His second nap is a must before Drive games. If he doesn't get that good nap in, it calls for a very long night. Fortunately, he has no problem with wanting to nap. I'm hoping he keeps up this awesome sleeping schedule when his little sister arrives.
He is doing a lot of eating these days. He either eats an egg and toast, or a banana and cheerios for breakfast. I try not to make a huge breakfast because it's so close to lunchtime, but he wakes up starving. I end up not packing a lot for his lunch because breakfast is so late. He usually eats a peanut butter fold over and a cheese stick. He eats what we eat for dinner, which is usually a meat, a side of some sort of vegetable, and a starch. He is definitely a "meat and potatoes" kinda guy. He loves potatoes (mashed, baked, and french fries), rice, pasta, and bread. He also eats just about any type of meat you give him. He also gets a snack during the Drive games. He is drinking 2 sippy cups of whole milk each day and the rest is water. He is now drinking out of straw sippy cups. I'm not entirely sure how he learned how to drink from straws, but it is making life a little easier. He is almost refusing to drink out of spout cups now. But, he will if it's his only option. We have also started giving him a fork with meals. He makes more of a mess than anything right now, but he is starting to get the hang of stabbing his food and then biting it off the fork. He has a little more trouble with spoon because he flips it over when he tries to put it in his mouth. He's slowly but surely getting the hang of it.
He's really interested in building with blocks and doing shape sorters. We work on the shape sorter each morning. He will pull it out of his toy bin and begin working on it. If he has trouble with a shape, he will grunt and point until I come over to help him figure it out. For obvious reasons, the square, triangle, and circle are the shapes he can do pretty easily. He has a really hard time with the star, and sometimes the hexagon can give him a little trouble. But, for the most part, he does really well with it. He also likes to pull out his big legos and stack them. I find them all over the house, but they entertain him for longer than 5 minutes. He also will put things in nooks and crevices. He figures out which way something will fit in a certain place. I tend to find a lot of smaller toys in shoes and corners. It's so funny to see him concentrate and figure out how to fit something in places.

He is now starting to run. He has been trying to for a little while, but this month he has really gotten fast. If I turn my back for 5 seconds, he is off doing something. This is especially difficult during games because he would rather walk the concourse than have me carry him. So, I try to hold his hand as much as he will let me. He is also trying to jump. It is hysterical! I had Cameron jump one night just to see what Connor would do. He bent his knees and threw his arms up in the air but didn't leave the ground. It was so funny! His jumps are now him bending his knees, throwing his hands up in the air, and lifting to his tippy toes. It won't be long until he really gets off the ground.
He now can say "baseball." Besides "daddy," this is Cameron's favorite word. Every morning he wakes up, he says "bay-baa." He wants to lay in my bed and watch Quick Pitch. I enjoy this because it gives me a time to get myself prepared for the day. He is now to the point where he will repeat words. I'll ask him to say "dada" and he will repeat it. He's really good about repeating the words dada, mimi, puppy, and baseball. He likes to play around and tease me about repeating mama. He says it a lot but he won't repeat it.
He has also started listening to simple instructions. For example, I will say "sit in your chair so we can put your shoes on," and he will walk and sit in his chair. He will also respond to "come here, please," "please don't do that," and "pick it up and put it in the basket, please." We are really trying to say please with every set of instructions. This way he hears it a lot and hopefully he will begin saying it soon. He still does the head nod for please, but I'm really trying to get him to use more words. He knows words, he just doesn't say them. Hopefully, that will change soon!
Here are some pictures of Connor.
